Jason Contino was born in the late seventies outside of the city of brotherly love. Not including the dozens of claymation shorts and kung- fu films made with his grade school friends, Midnight Sun marks his directorial debut. Jason attended Towson University in Towson, Maryland where he received his bachelor’s degree in film, and where he met co-conspirator Robert Harari. You can usually find Jason setting lights or working camera on various productions in the Philadelphia, Lancaster, and Baltimore areas as well as doing PA work for NFL Films. The Puzzle was the first independent project that Jason Contino and Robert Harari worked on together, and after a two year hiatus, they decided to join forces again and Midnight Sun was born. Jason and Rob are currently spending all their free time (and some of their time at work too) working on their first feature horror film, which according to Jason’s Mom is “one freaky and messed up kinda movie.” The script is being written, and hopefully production isn’t too far behind. So keep your eyes peeled for what the critics will hopefully be calling a “scary good time at the movies.”
